Monitoring Zones with Standalone Alarm Panel

Decide which wired sensors can trigger the alarm and how each one behaves.

Only zones enabled under Standalone Alarm System > Zones/Sensors are monitored by the local alarm logic. A zone can still appear in your smart home platform when it is not enabled for Standalone Alarm System, but opening it will not trigger a local alarm response.

Enable a zone

  1. Open the Konnected Mobile App and select your Alarm Panel.
  2. Tap Settings, then Standalone Alarm System.
  3. Under Zones/Sensors, select a zone.
  4. Turn on Enabled.
  5. Choose the zone's trigger mode and any armed-mode bypass options.
  6. Save the settings and apply the firmware update.

All enabled zones are monitored in Armed Away mode. For Armed Home and Armed Night, select the zones that should be bypassed while people are inside.

For example, you can monitor exterior doors in Home mode while bypassing an interior motion sensor.

Choose a trigger mode

The trigger mode controls how a zone uses the configured entry delay.

Delayed

Use Delayed for an entry door. If the zone opens while the system is armed and an entry delay is configured, the panel enters the pending state and gives you time to disarm before triggering the alarm.

Instant

Use Instant for a window or door that is not part of your normal entry route. The zone triggers the alarm immediately, without using the entry delay.

Delayed follower

Use Delayed follower for an interior motion sensor near a delayed entry door. It behaves as a delayed zone if the panel is already in the entry-delay state, but triggers immediately if it is the first zone opened.

This lets you walk past the motion sensor after entering through the delayed door without causing an immediate alarm, while still protecting the interior if someone enters another way.

Bypass a zone by armed mode

Use the Home and Night bypass settings to exclude a zone whenever you select that armed mode.

For a typical setup:

  • Armed Away monitors perimeter and interior zones.
  • Armed Home bypasses interior motion sensors.
  • Armed Night can use a different set of bypasses for your overnight routine.

Automatically bypass a zone left open

Enable Bypass If Left Open for an interior window or door that you often leave open when you leave the house. When you arm the system, an opening that is already open is bypassed instead of preventing the alarm from arming.

Use this setting deliberately. A bypassed zone is not protecting that opening for the current armed period.

Configure a door chime

A door chime activates a selected output when specified zones open. First configure the buzzer or other chime output in Zone Settings, then select it as the door-chime output and enable the chime on each door zone that should use it.

If the chime output is missing from a selection list:

  • Confirm that the output is configured as the required switch or multi-output type.
  • If the warning field requires an on/off switch, do not configure the output as a button.
  • Remove a repeat value from a multi-output pattern if that prevents it from appearing in the warning field.
  • Save and apply the firmware update, then check the list again.

Door chime and entry-delay warning are separate settings. Configure the delay warning under Entry/Exit Delay.
