Alarm Responses with Standalone Alarm Panel

An Alarm Response connects the triggered state of the Standalone Alarm System to an output on the same Konnected board. This is what makes a wired siren, strobe, or buzzer activate locally without needing an automation from your smart home platform. The alarm response is processed locally on the panel and does not depend on network connectivity.

An output does not automatically follow the alarm state just because it is wired and visible in your smart home platform. You must select it under Alarm Response.

Set up the output first

1. In the Konnected Mobile App, select your Alarm Panel and tap Settings.
2. Open Zone Settings.
3. Configure the connected siren, strobe, or buzzer as an output. A typical siren on ALARM1 or ALARM2 uses the On/Off switch type.
4. Save and apply the firmware update.

If you have not wired the output yet, follow the wiring guide for your product before continuing.

Add an alarm response

1. Return to Settings > Standalone Alarm System.
2. Open Alarm Response.
3. Select the output you configured.
4. Turn on Enabled.
5. Choose the response behavior.
6. Save and apply the firmware update.

Choose the response behavior

For an on/off output, you can configure the response to:

• Turn the output on continuously while the alarm is triggered.
• Pulse the output on and off.
• Turn the output on, then automatically turn it off after a set duration.
• Turn the output off when the alarm triggers, for an installation that requires inverted behavior.

If the alarm is disarmed or cleared while a response is active, the panel turns off the siren or strobe response.

Test the response

Test the output before testing the entire alarm sequence:

1. Open the panel's local web page from a device on the same network.
2. Operate the output and confirm that the correct device responds.
3. Arm the Standalone Alarm System in a controlled test.
4. Trigger a monitored zone and confirm that the configured response activates.
5. Disarm and confirm that the response stops.

Add notifications or other devices

Standalone Alarm Response is limited to outputs on the same panel. Use your smart home platform for phone notifications, remote devices, cameras, lighting, and other automations.

These platform features depend on the platform and its connection. The locally configured siren or output response works entirely on the Konnected device, even if the network or smart home platform is down.
