Connecting to WiFi using the Konnected App
The Konnected App is the simplest way to connect your device to WiFi
All Konnected devices can connect to WiFi and the first step to get your device installed is to get it connected to your home or office network. Konnected devices work on 2.4GHz WiFi (802.11b/g/n).
Alarm Panel Pro users using Ethernet can skip this step!
- Get the Konnected app for iOS or Android if you don't have it already.
- Power on the Konnected device.
- Open the Konnected App and select Add New Device on the first-time start screen, or tap the menu icon then select Add New Device.
- Tap WiFi Setup
- Enter your WiFi network name and password. If you've previously saved network credentials in the Konnected App, you can select it here.
- Tap Continue then Open WiFi Settings to launch the WiFi settings on your phone. Find the konnected-xxxxxx network and connect to it.
- Be sure to Allow any app permissions and Accept any warnings about no internet access.
- If successful, the konnected-xxxxxx setup network will disappear and your phone should automatically reconnect to your WiFi network and you can continue with device discovery.
Tips & Troubleshooting
- If you're setting up more than one Konnected device, repeat this process for each one.
- If you don't get past the All Set screen, make sure that your phone reconnects to the same WiFi network that you just set up on the Konnected device.
- If the konnected-xxxxxx setup network is still visible, then the device failed to connect to your WiFi. Try re-entering the password, or try the captive portal method.
