Due to recent manufacturing and QA issues, we have not been able to fulfill Alarm Panel Pro orders since early 2024. Ethernet capability is one key feature of the Alarm Panel Pro, and in early 2024, we discovered an issue related to Ethernet link quality on new batches of Alarm Panel Pros during our QA process. In collaboration with our manufacturer and 3rd-party electrical engineering consultants, we've spent months searching for a fix for the Ethernet issue on these boards. We've had mixed results and have ultimately decided that we will have to manufacture new Alarm Panel Pros, with a slightly updated internal design, to achieve the quality that we all expect from the product.
This means that new shipments of Alarm Panel Pros (with functional Ethernet connectivity) will be further delayed by at least one month.
Alarm Panel Pros from batches 2401 and 2403 are fully functional on Wi-Fi only, and are being liquidated for $79 USD each.
We're also offering a $79 USD promotional credit for every Alarm Panel Pro purchased (at regular price) during this extended backorder period.
$79 Promotional Credit
For each Alarm Panel Pro purchased and not yet shipped/received, customers will receive a $79 USD promotional credit in the form of a gift card redeemable at konnected.io.
- Promotional credit is valid for any purchase at konnected.io, including the WiFi-only Alarm Panel Pro liquidation stock or any other items from the Konnected store.
- Promotional credit expires on 1/1/2025
- Credits are non-transferable and may only be used by the same customer account / email address as the original purchaser.
- Promotional credit may be used as payment toward merchandise, shipping and tax.
- The promotional credit is issued in U.S. Dollars (USD). If you shop on konnected.io in a different currency, the promotional credit value will be automatically converted from USD to your local currency at the currency conversion rate determined by our e-commerce provider at the time of your order.
- Promotional credits may be used across multiple transactions/orders. Credit can be applied to merchandise, shipping or taxes.
- The credit is a "Loyalty, award, or promotional gift card" as defined by US 12 CFR § 1005.20
Backorders, Cancellations & Refunds
We do not yet have a date when the new Alarm Panel Pros with Ethernet will be available, but we expect it to be in May 2024.
- Backorders for Alarm Panel Pros will be fulfilled in the order that they were received once new stock is available.
- Backorders may be cancelled at any time before the product ships for a full refund.
- If a cancellation/refund is requested and the customer has already redeemed some or all of the $79 promotional credit, the USD value amount of the used credit will be deducted from the refund.
- If a cancellation is requested and a refund issued with a promotional credit still outstanding, the remaining promotional credit will expire immediately.
Alarm Panel Pro WiFi-only Liquidation Stock
We've decided to liquidate batches 2401 and 2403 of the Alarm Panel Pro v1.8 that have faulty Ethernet connections. The devices are still fully functional on Wi-Fi and have a multitude of uses -- and are really a great deal at this price! Konnected is taking a loss on this mess-up.
