Smart Home Platforms Supported by Standalone Alarm Panel

Choose where you will arm, disarm, and monitor your Standalone Alarm System.

You configure Standalone Alarm System in the Konnected Mobile App, but you use a smart home platform for daily control. The platform displays the alarm state and provides the app, dashboard, voice controls, notifications, and automations available to you.

Home Assistant, SmartThings, and Alexa are currently available. The direct Google Home integration is awaiting Google approval.

Home Assistant

Home Assistant connects directly to the panel over your local network with the built-in ESPHome integration. Standalone Alarm System appears as an alarm-control-panel entity alongside the individual zones and outputs connected to the board.

Use Home Assistant if you want local control, dashboards, and flexible automations. You do not need Alarmo or Home Assistant's Manual Alarm Control Panel when one Standalone Alarm System contains all of the zones you want to protect.

SmartThings

SmartThings connects through Konnected Cloud. A Konnected Alarm device appears in SmartThings with controls for arming and disarming. If you also use SmartThings Home Monitor, its armed state and the Standalone Alarm state synchronize in both directions.

Standalone Alarm System and SmartThings Home Monitor have separate zone selections and response settings. Configure both if you use both systems.

Alexa

Alexa connects through Konnected Cloud and the Konnected Alexa skill. You can use the Alexa app or supported voice requests to check, arm, and disarm the Standalone Alarm System. Alexa requires a voice code before it will disarm the system by voice.

Google Home

The direct Google Home integration is awaiting Google approval and is not yet generally available. It is a direct Konnected integration, not a SmartThings bridge or Matter alarm-system feature.

Using more than one platform

On supported hardware, you can connect Home Assistant locally and enable Konnected Cloud for SmartThings or Alexa at the same time. The Standalone Alarm state remains on the panel and can synchronize to the connected platforms.

For Home Assistant and SmartThings together, enable both Local Native API and Konnected Cloud in the device settings. Arm or disarm from either platform, and the other platform will receive the updated state.

Platform controls do not change which zones the Standalone Alarm System monitors. Configure those zones in the Konnected Mobile App.
