Powering With a Backup Battery

Ensure your Konnected Alarm Panel stays alive during power interruptions with the Konnected Backup Battery—the mini‑UPS designed for Konnected Alarm Panel systems.

What Is the Konnected Backup Battery?

    • A 7800 mAh Li‑ion mini‑UPS that plugs directly into your 12 V power adapter line to provide uninterrupted power during outages. It can power a Konnected Alarm Panel for up to 12 hours under ideal conditions.

    • Features include auto-switching to battery when AC power is lost, dual outputs (12 V DC at up to 2.5 A and 5 V USB at up to 3 A), overcurrent protection, wall-mounting capability, and compatibility with many devices like routers, hubs, Raspberry Pi, and USB gadgets.

    • Includes a DC male-to-male cable, a mounting screw, and a quick-start guide. Requires a 12 V DC power adapter (not included)—you can use the adapter from your Konnected kit.

How to Connect It Inline with Your Konnected Alarm Panel

    1. Disconnect the power to your Konnected panel by unplugging the adapter from the wall outlet.

    2. Plug your 12 V power adapter into the Backup Battery’s input port.

    3. Connect the Backup Battery’s 12 V output to the Konnected panel’s DC jack using the included male-to-male cable.

    4. Wall-mount the battery if desired—hardware is included.

    5. Plug the power adapter back into the wall. The battery will charge and remain ready to take over seamlessly if the power fails.

    Auto-switching Feature and Minimum Load

The Backup Battery automatically switches on and delivers power when a load is detected. This auto‑load detection circuit requires at least ~30 mA draw to remain active. If your connected accessory draws very little power, it may make the backup battery turn off.
