Entry and Exit Delay with Standalone Alarm Panel

Standalone Alarm System can delay arming or triggering so you can operate it from inside the protected area, like a traditional alarm system. Enter each delay in seconds. If you leave a delay blank or set it to zero, that transition happens immediately.

Entry delay

The Entry Delay starts when the system is armed and a zone set to Delayed opens. The alarm enters the pending state and waits for the configured time. If you do not disarm before the countdown ends, the alarm triggers its configured responses.

Zones set to Instant do not use the entry delay. A Delayed follower zone uses the delay only when another delayed zone was tripped first.

Exit delay

The Exit Delay starts when you arm in Away mode. It gives you time to leave before the panel becomes fully armed.

Home and Night arming delay

The Arming Delay applies when you arm in Home or Night mode. Use it if you want those modes to wait before becoming fully armed. It is separate from the Away-mode exit delay.

Configure the delays

1. Open the Konnected Mobile App and select your Alarm Panel.
2. Tap Settings > Standalone Alarm System.
3. Open Entry/Exit Delay.
4. Enter the desired time in seconds for Entry Delay and Exit Delay.
5. Configure the Home or Night Arming Delay if you use those modes.
6. Select an entry or exit warning output if you want an audible countdown.
7. Save and apply the firmware update.

Configure an audible warning

Set up the buzzer or other warning output in Zone Settings before selecting it in the delay settings. The warning list requires a compatible output configuration.

For a typical repeating “beep ... beep ... beep” warning on OUT1, configure the output as a repeating pulse with a 100 ms pulse, a 100 ms pause, and Repeat set to -1. This repeats the warning until the delay ends. Then select OUT1 as the entry or exit warning output.

If the output does not appear or stays silent:

• Confirm that you can operate it from the panel's local web page.
• Configure it as an on/off switch when the warning setting requires a switch.
• Do not configure it as a button.
• Remove a repeat value from a multi-output pattern if that prevents it from appearing in the warning list.
• Save and apply the updated firmware before testing again.

Door-chime settings do not automatically make the same output sound during an entry or exit delay. Select the output separately in Entry/Exit Delay.
